the sorrow in us all

colonized societies lack culture specifically culture, tying us to the land connecting us to the land helping us remember how to be in tune with nature and in turn ourselves -- without Indigenous peoples we have no culture with connection to the land

without connection to the land we have nowhere for our souls to go when we die so everything we do is to avoid death which in turn runs from spirit when that's the only reason we came to life so we are taught to run from ourselves which internalizes there's something wrong with the self we are not enough so then it becomes an internalized need to learn how to be liked as if it is a transaction in our first step of survival rather than being able to step into ourselves and our personality

we become hungry for the very things we came to life for but are taught to run from and become insatiable for things that we deem necessary for survival never satisfying them to become consumers of everything to keep us comfortable from innate lack of ability to satisfy our own needs

which then becomes exploited by those feeding on the vulnerability this social system creates in the individual

loneliness of colonization from our lack of permeability - closed off - individualized - having to live with all of survival depending on ourselves -

"depression is the souls refussal to participate in manic culture"

our psyches miss the ancestral ties that remembered how to maintain relationships between people and nature; our bodies the social practices that maintained social connection with people and nature

the body knows and remembers how to be social has social drive with each other but also our ecosystem

fictions of individualism are collapsing - we are all in this together - no one is immune
